Job description

The National Director of Operations will oversee the operational functions of the Employee Benefits Practice, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the Practice’s strategic goals. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong operational background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operational Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that support the Practice’s objectives and enhance overall performance.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, client services, and marketing, to ensure seamless operations and support business growth.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and management of resources to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the employee benefits or insurance industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful operational strategies.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership.
    • Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
