Job Description: 

We seek a skilled and adaptable Senior Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to join our high-impact SWAT team. This team tackles critical, complex projects requiring efficient problem-solving, adaptability, and close collaboration. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with PHP and the Laravel framework on the backend and solid proficiency in JavaScript for front-end work. This role requires a developer who can work well under pressure, effectively communicate across teams, and take a hands-on approach to deliver solutions quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities:   

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend services using PHP and Laravel, with a strong emphasis on performance and optimization.
• Implement front-end features using JavaScript, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and platforms.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver robust, user-centered applications.
• Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews, providing technical input to optimize application performance.
• Actively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across the application stack in a proactive, solution-oriented manner.
• Balance multiple tasks efficiently, taking ownership of projects from conception to deployment.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on backend engineering.
• Advanced expertise in PHP and the Laravel framework, with a strong understanding of backend systems and API development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in front-end frameworks or libraries (React, Vue.js, or similar).
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with a CRM is preferred. SugarCRM is a big plus for this position. 

Soft skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, resourceful approach.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, handling high-stakes projects with resilience and flexibility.

Bonus skills: 

• Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud infrastructure providers.
• Experience with front-end and back-end performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and prior experience working in Agile teams.
