Remote Product Manager, Lifelong Learning

Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Product Manager, Lifelong Learning to join our growing Product Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, driving, and optimizing the strategy, development and implementation of innovative strategies to build attractive lifelong learning products, as well as attract and recruit learners to our lifelong learning, alternative education, and non-degree course offerings. You will play a key role in expanding our reach across the nation and the globe, diversifying our student body, and standing up world-class product, marketing, and operational initiatives to solidify our ability to scale this effort.


Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become the institutional expert for customer, market, and competitive dynamics that can impact or be leveraged for growth in DeVry’s lifelong learning portfolio, including courses, modules, (micro)certificates, and similar offerings.
  • Marketing Strategy: Leveraging generated consumer, market, and competitive insights, craft compelling marketing strategies for engaging target audiences, growing enrollment, and delivering a world-class student experience which supports the career aspirations and upskilling needs of our learners. Drive the development of unique value propositions, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies for assigned offerings.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies: Assist in the design and execution of data-driven plans to maximize enrollment across the lifelong learning portfolio, identify and prioritize new market opportunities, and build a sustainable competitive advantage for DeVry.
  • Business Case Development: Demonstrate competency and comfort with the development of business cases that support investment decisions, marketing budgets, and growth areas of focus as well as the presentation, discussion, and resolution of decisions with senior leaders across the institution including C-level executives.
  • Participate in market research and competitive analysis: Support the design and deployment of various research projects as needed to understand market trends, competitor landscape, and student needs in the lifelong learning market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with academics, marketing, experience, operations, admissions, finance, and technology teams to ensure strategic alignment and drive seamless student journeys.
  • Establish product marketing best practices: Assist in the design and implementation of processes, frameworks, and tools to ensure consistent and effective marketing across the university.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously monitor emerging trends, technologies, and student needs to adapt strategies and remain competitive.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, business, communications, market research, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in related role(s).
  • A relentless hunger for market and customer insights, grit to persist, and the resilience to see a solid idea through to execution as well as the ability to “fail forward quickly”.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing marketing campaigns that drive growth for similar education institutions, platforms, or products preferred, other corporate settings are okay as well.
  • Strong understanding of various marketing channels and analytics across digital and traditional media types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to diversity.
