The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) will promote and sell our SaaS products for our Power division to our current customers and partners in public safety. This position includes prospecting of qualified leads, phone sales, managing inbound leads, online product demonstrations, sales presentations, contract negotiations and support of the overall sales and marketing efforts. The primary objective of the Associate Sales Representative (ASR) role is to expand the sales of NEOGOV / PowerDMS products and to convert competitive products in a manner that complies with company policy and sales direction. The ASR provides support to the aligned region/division for all sales-related activities, and upon successful completion of duties, will assume territory responsibilities as a Sales Representative.

What You Will Do

In this role, the ASR will be trained to understand and demonstrate proper use of our products by public safety and law enforcement agencies. This position requires the ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales training methodology. Additionally, you will be expected to execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, ethical, and which leads the customer to action.

  • Identify, qualify leads, generate and close new business (expansion and additional product) sales with existing accounts to achieve revenue quota on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
  • Establish and maintain a productive, professional relationship with key personnel in assigned prospect accounts.
  • Create Sales Campaigns for small to medium sized accounts and closely coordinate company involvement .
  • Complete NEOGOV product leadership for all products.
  • Drive a matrixed territory business that includes: sales development, partners, sales engineers, professional services, finance and legal to drive a prospect to close.
  • Prepare and present sales demos via screen share.
  • Negotiate and close deals following the company's practices and processes.
  • Ensure orders meet all legal and financial requirements and manage receivables.
  • Analyze potential sales opportunities by using data analysis, segmented research and information to identify the attributes most valued by the potential clients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to construct a tangible business case by compiling data and comparing to agencies to demonstrate ROI.
  • Demonstrates ability to engage C-level within an organization and present organizations offerings.

What You Have

  • At least 2+ years of sales experience within a quota-driven environment
  • Prior experience selling to government agencies or Public Safety related SaaS sales experience (strongly preferred)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
