Senior Software Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the quality, assurance, performance, and reliability of our software products through both automated and manual testing. Your expertise in development and testing will help us deliver exceptional software experiences.

Contract Type: Contract to Hire

Work Hours: USA Business Hours 

Timezone: EST, PST, CST or MST

• Collaborate: Work closely with software developers and QA engineers to create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  

• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, contribute to software design discussions, and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  

• Testing: Conduct both automated and manual testing for Mobile and Web applications, identifying and reporting defects and issues.
  

• Framework Development: Develop and maintain test frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to enhance the efficiency of the testing process.
  

• Automation: Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code to automate testing procedures and support the backend of our Kounsel product.
  

• AI & ML Projects: Ensure the quality of AI and Machine Learning-driven projects through rigorous testing and validation.
  

• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required to support our team’s goals and objectives.
  

Requirements

Technical Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in roles such as SQA Engineer, STE, SDET, or Software Engineer.
  

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation techniques, and CI/CD pipelines.
  

• Automation Tools: Solid experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  

• Manual Testing: Experience in manual testing processes.
  

• AI/ML Knowledge: Comfort with AI and Machine Learning projects.
  

• Specialized Testing: Experience with performance testing, unit testing, security testing, or other specialized areas.
  

• Tech Savvy: Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and databases.
  

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  

General Requirements:

• Availability to work during U.S. Business hours (EST/CST/PST).
  

• Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills in English.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of multi-functional teams.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, while also contributing to a team environment.
  

• Must have the equipment and environment to work remotely (laptop/computer, reliable internet connection, quiet, conducive space).
