Location:  Remote - US/USA

Summary:

As a National Account Manager, you will develop and expand existing and new National Accounts within a defined Vertical Market and / or region (North America). Provide input such as, relevant market information, sales / marketing strategies, vision and goals. Drive new sales opportunities with existing customers, positioning the company for success. Personally contact and secure New Logos, typically with multiple site locations within the designated Vertical Market and / or region (North America). Lead all aspects of assigned accounts within their portfolio, including but not limited to, opportunity identification; pre-sales planning; deal execution; post sales installation planning and follow up; customer issue resolution relating to invoicing, service and other issues in order to ensure a high level of post-sales satisfaction and facilitate long term relationships with strong potential for repeat business and retention. Maintain and grow Recurring Revenue base for assigned accounts.

What You'll Do:

  • Achieve Sales Growth:
    • Achieve targeted sales growth for National Accounts at a rate and profit margin that align with the strategic business plan.
  • Customer Management:
    • Expand account penetration with new and existing accounts through frequent proactive contact with accounts; building, growing, and maintaining strong relationships with multiple departments and key stakeholders at multiple levels within customer organizations.
    • Establish and maintain a high level of quality and timely service to customers for maximum retention.
    • Maintain and grow Recurring Revenue base for assigned accounts. Acts as a central point of contact to service existing or assigned account’s needs and requests.
    • Ensure responsiveness and service delivery through utilization of internal infrastructure including Vector Security Branch Offices, Vector Security Networks National Service Center, Central Stations (Monitoring Centers), and Sales / Operations Support Teams.
  • Business Plans:
    • Formulate a sound business plan to provide acceptable sales growth in accordance with established plan and market share targets.
    • Work with Sales Director to meet profitability goals.
  • Research & Analyze Market Trends:
    • Provide current market information such as current trends, sales techniques, application of products in various markets, suggested marketing programs to the Sales Director.
  • Promotional Programs:
    • Working with Management and Marketing, implement promotional programs for National Account customers.

What You'll Need:

  • College Degree in Sales/Marketing or Another Related Field - Preferred:
    • Must have an understanding of how to conduct business at an elevated level.  (i.e. selling to C level professionals).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Commercial Sales Experience,
    • Including five (5) years of major accounts sales of Products/Services in the Service Industry or related proven experience within a large corporation.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Security, Fire Alarm, Video Surveillance, and Access Control:

    • Industry/technology knowledge is a critical component when selling within the security marketplace.

    • The client’s expectations are that the NAM is able to recommend the best products and solutions to meet their specific needs.

  • Excellent Organization Skills:
    • Must be able to effectively manage a large number of clients and opportunities at the same time. 
    • Meeting all deadlines is critical to the success of this position.
  • Excellent Interpersonal/Communication Skills:
    • Must be able to communicate and effectively work with a wide variety of people (both internally and externally). 
    • In order to be successful, NAM must be able to clearly understand client’s needs and effectively articulate these needs internally.  
    • While they do not have “direct” management responsibilities, the NAM is the quarterback for all actively within their territory and must be able to lead various team members.
  • Highly Ambitious & Results Driven:
    • In order to effectively support our customers, must have proven ability to effectively follow through on problem resolutions.
  • Confidentiality:
    • NAM must be able to maintain both company and client confidential information. 
    • Position demands someone with a level of integrity.
  • Excellent Computer Literacy:
    • In order to effectively communicate both internally and externally, must be proficient with computers, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to Manage & Control Sales Expenses, Including Travel and Entertainment:
    • In order for VSN to be successful, NAM must be aware of the impact of individual expenses and controls these expenses at all times.
  • Demonstrated Success at Meeting/Exceeding Sales Quotas:
    • In order for VSN to be successful, sales quotes must be met or exceeded on a consistent basis with the final year-end quota being the most critical.
