About the role:
As a
Field Service Technician at Trojan, you will be responsible for conducting service, repair, and start-up of our advanced water treatment systems at customer sites. With a strong emphasis on water quality, you will perform electrical and mechanical testing, diagnose system failures, and assist customers in the maintenance of their UV systems. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of existing and new service contracts.

In this role, you will:
- You will be the first point of contact for all customer interaction and cultivate key customer relationships to interpret their needs and requirements
- Develop a technical working knowledge of all Trojan product lines and serve as a technical resource for supporting customers
- Travel at least 80% - 90% of the time within or outside your hiring region.
- Solve problems, evaluate systems and/or processes to isolate root causes and implement corrective actions as required
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 3 to 5 years of Field Service Experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic)
- Familiarity with electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical principles
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, sales and operations to help resolve site specific difficulties
- Bring unique solutions as needed, to meet customer requirements and drive product improvements
Would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a logical thought process a must
- Working with PLCs, Specifically Allen Bradley, WAGO and Siemens
- Familiarity with water treatment processes is considered an asset
- Experience in dealing with technical issues in a customer service setting is considered an asset
- Strong organization and project management skills, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and complex tasks
The salary range for this role is $65,000.00 – $70,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.

The compensation range for this role is $34 - $38 USD per hour.
