Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Oracle DBA and Migration Engineer to join our team.

In this role, the ideal candidate will utilize their extensive experience in both development and support of Oracle database systems to enhance our capabilities and ensure efficient database operations.

While participating in migration projects, designed to empower our customers, help them utilize their data in new and innovative ways in order to maximize efficiency

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain database
Support database migration between on-prem and cloud environments
Analyze data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks
Create and review data models, and help developers plan high performing queries
Define and establish best practices with Oracle, including configuration, monitoring health and backups of the cluster
Manage storage capacity of the cluster and help plan for growth based on future project goals
Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed

Requirements

4+ years of experience with Oracle Database
Excellent understanding of core Oracle concepts and architecture
Familiarity with the OCI
At least Upper-Intermediate level of both spoken and written English (B2 and higher)
Knowledge of the GoldenGate platform
Familiarity with Exadata and RAC
Experience with Linux/Unix servers
Understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins and/or GitLab) and project life-cycle principles
Previous experience with AWS technologies
