The Access and Micro-segmentation Engineering team is responsible for the Zero-Trust software that allows users to access to secure applications inside a customer's datacenter. While the micro-segmentation product is a more granular and flexible network segmentation solution that enables customers to remove most of their firewalls.
Help shape the future of the Internet
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of an expert team tasked to design and develop components of its next-generation access and micro-segmentation systems. The Internet is a complex and noisy environment, and there are no simple answers to the problems the team tackles. This is precisely what makes the job fun and rewarding.
As a Software Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for-
- Analyzing designing and implementing system software. Which brings functionality, accuracy, reliability, and scalability to Akamai's access and micro-segmentation platforms.
- Developing innovative and elegant solutions in a highly dynamic environment.
- Collaborating across engineering teams and other stakeholders to integrate and deliver features on time.
Do What You Love
To be successful in this role you will-
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field & 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Golang, Python or a similar language.
- Experience building scalable servers or distributed systems
- Understand the Linux operating system
- Have familiarity with Internet protocols such as HTTP, Websockets, gRPC, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes
