Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proven ability to motivate, align, and manage impactful, happy and empowered developers
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent highly technical field
  • 12+ years of software engineering experience (2+ years in cloud services development environment) and a proven track record of successfully architecting and shipping commitment, low latency products & services
  • 5+ years of senior management experience with a solid track record of building and leading engineering teams
  • Strong technical understanding in building complex, scalable, low latency streaming/batch processing cloud services
  • Proven track record on running operations for a cloud service
  • Deep knowledge of large-scale compute, network, and/or storage systems
  • Experience working with Distributed Systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience in heterogeneous databases operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with major cloud providers (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud)
  • Experience in leading multiple geographically distributed teams
  • Familiarity with recent ML/AI-based approaches for building insights.


Responsibilities

  • Join a team at the ground level and help build and transform services to be cloud based and scalable.
  • Responsible for hiring and growing outstanding engineers.
  • Work across the organization to define and provide inputs to the technology strategy, infrastructure and architecture vision that supports the successful execution of the product roadmap and business strategy
  • Inspire a culture of ‘Always On’ Service Operations in the team
  • Take ownership of defining and driving roadmaps for critical customer facing features.
  • Be the point of contact for service critical issues and drive Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and technical leads to steer the team towards continuous feature improvements.
  • Directly and indirectly manage Globally Distributed engineering team that is fast growing
  • Allocate resources, set priorities, and manage schedules for the team

US: Hiring Range: from $142,900 - $338,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
