Job Summary: ScriptPro is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in C# and SQL development to design, implement, and maintain our reporting solution infrastructure. The ideal candidate will enhance existing reporting systems, stay updated on trends in reporting visuals, and suggest improvements to the data analytics infrastructure. The candidate should also be comfortable working in Agile-based teams and delivering high-quality development solutions.

Reporting Relationship: Vice President, Software Technology 

Shift: Generally Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This position is remote with expectations to travel to the office. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.   

Scope of the Role:

  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements for reports
  • Design report visuals and collaborate with development staff to ensure that requisite data is available in the system
  • Design, enhance, and maintain existing reporting infrastructure to improve presentation of reporting data to internal and external customers
  • Research existing trends in reporting visuals and recommends products and software development efforts that can improve and expand our reporting/data analytics infrastructure
  • Develop queries and stored procedures required to generate datasets for report visualization
  • Work and function effectively as a member of a team or small group, specifically in Agile-based teams for software development       

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. In Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL development
  • 1+ years of experience with reporting visuals
  • 1+ years of experience with C# development
  • Experience with SQL Server (2014, 2017, and higher)
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft RDL/RDLC, Power BI, and any other reporting visual tools
  • Ability to read manuals, technical whitepapers, requirements documents, etc., and deliver development solutions that meet quality assurance standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with varying priorities, while still maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Remote Work Requirements:

  • Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection
  • Must have a distraction free home office workspace
  • Must be willing to participate in video virtual meetings (camera on)

Working Conditions:

This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
