We are looking for a dedicated OT Network & Server Engineer to join our Baker Hughes OT Security (BHOTS) team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining OT networks and server infrastructures. You will work alongside our OT architects on various projects and operational matters and liaise closely with the IT Network Operations and Engineering teams.

As an OT Network/Server Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing OT network architectures in collaboration with OT architects.
  • Ensuring alignment between OT and IT networking strategies where possible.
  • Representing the OT networking initiatives and requirements to the IT networking teams.
  • Ensuring segmentation is implemented in accordance with OT security policies.
  • Managing and maintain server configurations, and work with enterprise teams on backups, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Performing risk assessments and implement security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network segmentation.
  • Working closely with the IT Network Operations and Engineering, and Systems Administration teams to ensure network and server efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Providing technical support for OT network-related issues and ensure maximum uptime.
  • Documenting network and server configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Participating in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, security, and resilience of OT operations.

Fuel your passion.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field; or relevant industry certification such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, or similar.
  • Experience in network and server engineering, preferably in an OT environment.
  • Familiarity with IEC-62443 or other industrial cybersecurity standards is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, OSI Model).
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server management, both physical and virtual.
  • Familiarity with common enterprise hypervisors like VMWare is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting techniques, tools and software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
