Role: SAP ABAP Tech Lead Developer for cFIN Implementation

Timings: EST time zones until 12.00 midnight

Location: Remote (Candidate needs to be in Bangalore)

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced SAP ABAP Tech Lead Developer to join our team for a Central Finance (cFIN) implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing custom ABAP solutions, working closely with functional and technical teams to support the implementation and integration of cFIN across our SAP landscape. 

This role requires a strong understanding of ABAP programming, cFIN-specific requirements, and the ability to lead development initiatives from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of SAP ABAP solutions for the cFIN implementation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and best practices.
  

• Develop and enhance custom programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements specific to cFIN, including data replication, validations, and error handling mechanisms.
  

• Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and develop technical solutions that support cFIN use cases.
  

• Optimize and troubleshoot ABAP code, ensuring high performance and reliability of custom developments in a cFIN environment.
  

• Implemented and supported data migration and replication activities, working with SAP SLT and other integration tools.
  

• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting issues related to cFIN processes, developing and implementing effective solutions.
  

• Guide and mentor junior ABAP developers, providing code reviews and sharing best practices to enhance team performance.
  

• Work closely with the Basis team for transport management and performance tuning of custom developments.
  

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, and user guides for all custom developments.
  

• Stay up to date with SAP updates, ABAP advancements, and cFIN functionalities, assessing their potential impact on the project and proposing relevant solutions.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with significant exposure to cFIN or similar finance transformation projects.
  

• Strong expertise in ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming, BAPIs, BADIs, enhancements, user exits, and SAP Gateway/OData services.
  

• Deep understanding of cFIN architecture and data replication processes, including integration with SAP SLT and AIF (Application Interface Framework).
  

• Experience in performance optimization techniques, debugging, and code analysis in a complex SAP environment.
  

• Familiarity with SAP HANA and CDS views is a plus.
  

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  

• Experience in S/4 HANA and Fiori/UI5 development.
  

• Knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Management Accounting (CO) modules.
  

• Familiarity with SAP Central Finance configuration and its integration points.
  

• Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security practices in SAP implementations.
  

• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum project methodologies is a plus.

 Must be able to support EST time zones until 12.00 midnight. Need locals in Bangalore as they may be asked to come into the client office occasionally.
