Aptive Resources is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Expert to support the Veteran Health Administration (VHA) in optimizing healthcare systems and processes through advanced modeling and simulation techniques. Primary Responsibilities:
- Modeling and Simulation Techniques: Possess extensive knowledge of multiple modeling and simulation techniques, with the ability to select approaches best suited to meet unique client requirements.
- Risk and Benefit Analysis: Clearly define risks and benefits associated with modeling and simulation activities, supporting informed decision-making among team members and stakeholders.
- Requirement Coordination: Coordinate internally and externally with customers and teams to identify model requirements, simulation goals, and variables to be applied, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Complex Model Development: Develop modeling and simulation constructs for complex multi-network models, integrating multiple systems and scenarios to accurately represent real-world healthcare environments.
- Event Oversight: Oversee multi-event complex modeling and simulation events, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to predefined objectives and parameters.
- Results Analysis and Presentation: Document, analyze, and present modeling and simulation results to end users, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improving healthcare systems and processes.
- Model Refinement: Refine and develop models based on test results and stakeholder feedback, continuously improving accuracy and effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Modeling and Simulation, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in modeling and simulation engineering, with a proven track record of success in complex healthcare environments.
- Proficiency in various modeling and simulation techniques, tools, and software platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and extract meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Experience supporting the VA or VHA highly desired
