S3 is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) which is an organization, owned by credit unions. We serve credit unions by supporting their operations and delivering world class service.  We support the credit union members with their loans, deposits and other financial needs to achieve their goals. 

The Training Specialist will deliver On-the-Job Training (OJT) to align with the needs of the First Mortgage Fulfillment department. The Training Specialist will be expected to stay up to date on all system functionality and uses through firsthand experience working with frontline staff. The Training Specialist will help adapt training methods to accommodate onsite, hybrid and remote work conditions. TOP JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develops, organizes, and maintains training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials for OJT training and supplemental programs for actionable training. 
  • Manages comprehensive training programs including planning, facilitating, coordinating schedules, and providing feedback to the management team. x
  • Acts as subject matter expert for testing initiatives to include upgrades, enhancements, and net-new technology. 
  • Participates in joint calls and project teams with partner credit unions, affiliates, member groups, etc. 
  • Responsible for partnering with appropriate stakeholders to ensure standard operating procedures are up to date. 

 

Other responsibilities and opportunities: 

  • Works with our System Administration team to research sources of errors or issues to identify if they are systematic or knowledge based and make recommendations for an appropriate course of action.
  • Coordinates with department management to deliver additional training programs as needed.
  • Involved in the testing of new systems, upgrades, implementations, and process improvements and creating training approach and materials for staff communication.
  • Assists with knowledge base and communications as needed.
  • Additional job-related projects and duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Human Resources, Customer Service, or Instructional Design is preferred.  
  • 1 year of experience in training facilitation or other relevant experience, preferably in an interactive remote training environment. 
  • Knowledge of training and development best-practices and adult learning principles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of credit union operations, including lending, business, deposit operations, default management/collections, real estate/mortgage servicing, online mobile banking and cards services is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Publisher, SharePoint, Visio; and content authoring software such as Articulate 360, is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented, with exceptional training, active-listening, and presentation skills.
  • Proven time management skills, including the ability to prioritize current workload and projects while providing periodic updates to management.

Work Environment- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
