We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Apheresis team! This is an exciting opportunity to work in cutting-edge oncology and Idaho's first CAR-T program. Come be a part of the only apheresis team in Idaho providing complex, high-quality, compassionate care for patients in the communities we serve!

 

The Boise St. Luke's Cancer Institute (SLCI) is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to cancer patients, offering a spectrum of services from early detection to survivorship support. Within SLCI, the Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program is a beacon of comprehensive care and cellular therapy for individuals battling leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic disorders, and other blood cancers. Distinctively, Boise SLCI hosts Idaho's sole BMT and Hematologic Malignancies Program, ensuring patients access to the most cutting-edge therapies in their community.

 

What you can expect from this role

  • Part-time (0.8 FTE), day shift
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts x 4 days a week
  • No nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays
  • Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires!
  • Our Apheresis RN provides apheresis treatments as ordered by the provider including, but not limited to, stem cell collections, therapeutic exchanges, and extracorporeal photopheresis, while ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Assess patient readiness, monitor vital signs during procedures, and manage any adverse reactions
  • Provide patients and families with information on the apheresis process, potential risks, and post-procedure care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, this includes working closely with physicians and other staff to develop treatment plans and ensure quality care

 

Minimum qualifications for this role

  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Preferred: OCN and/or BMTCN certification; Oncology, Apheresis and/or Dialysis experience; EPIC experience
