Job description

Title:

Business Process Analyst/Data Manager

KBR’s Defense Systems Engineering, Naval Solutions Division is seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst/Data Manager to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM).  Qualified candidates must be customer-focused and capable of leveraging personal experience, analysis of data, and understanding of customer/system requirements to facilitate data ingestion into the Siemens Teamcenter PLM system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, use, and/or implement a set of tools and techniques to perform data preparation, cleaning, and ingestion using data-oriented programming and customer-enabled tools. This could include VBA, R, Python, Java, SQL, and/or Regex depending on requirements. Position will be VBA and Regex heavy, with some others occasionally utilized.
  • Analyze data ingestion trends and patterns using business intelligence tools such as Teamcenter Reporting and Analysis (TcRA).
  • Prepare, import, and manage data using both a digital backbone Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) tool and functionality as well as a change and lifecycle management tool.
  • Potential to apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
  • Analyzes problems and determines root causes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in an IT field from an accredited US institution

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience performing work related to the Job Duties/Responsibilities.
  •  Experience querying databases
  • Experience with developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Processes
  • Experience with analyzing data for trends and patterns
  • Experience with problem-solving in a product development environment
  • Experience with regular expression development and testing

Citizenship & Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance or clearance eligibility, Single Scope Background Investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Active Workspace
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PMA file structure, types, and their relationships
  • Experience with devising and utilizing algorithms and models to mine big-data stores.
  • Experience performing data and error analysis to improve models.
  • Experience with visualizing/presenting data using software such as TcRA.
  • Experience with at least one (1) programming language.

This position offers a flexible remote working environment.

Compensation: $95,000-120,000 The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
