The Opportunity

This is an ideal next step for a newly qualified accountant looking to step into an experienced finance team with a global reach. As a Senior Accountant in the EMEA finance team you will be responsible for preparing month-end management accounts and own the accounts receivable function of the EMEA region. You will lead improvement in the customer billing process and review revenue recognition. Additionally, you will support the Financial Controller in providing insights to management and in making the finance operations more efficient and scalable for growth.

The Role 

Reporting to the EMEA Financial Controller you will have a range of tasks and responsibilities including:

  • Management of the AR function, Billing and Revenue Reporting
  • Drive forward internal billing initiatives to improve efficiencies and minimise revenue leakage
  • Cashflow forecasts and reporting
  • Internal management accounts preparation and analysis, including reporting to Group finance.
  • Monthly balance sheet review and control accounts reconciliation, including intercompany balances
  • Sales commission reconciliations
  • VAT Returns and ad-hoc regulatory submissions
  • Support Financial Controller in delivering an effective finance function in the EMEA region
  • Delivering improvements to financial and operational processes both in EMEA and across the Group including system based improvements.
  • Provide support to the wider finance team on group projects and reporting
  • Provide external auditors with necessary information and support local and group audits
  • Ownership of and assistance with a variety of adhoc financial analysis and internal operations projects and tasks.

Skills and Experience

  • Newly qualified and ambitious ACA/ACCA/CIMA with broad experience gained in fast-paced & dynamic environments
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of statutory reporting and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficient in pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s and data analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is highly desirable
  • Ideally have experience in financial process and systems improvement
  • Strong communication skills
