Job description

700Apps is currently looking for a dedicated and talented Offshore Technical Writer to join our remote team. As an Offshore Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation for our software products. Working closely with our development and product teams, you will gather information and transform it into clear and concise documentation that is easy to understand and use. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our users have access to accurate and comprehensive documentation to maximize their experience with our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for software products, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes
  • Gather information from subject matter experts and technical teams to understand product features and functionalities
  • Translate technical information into clear and concise documentation that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical users
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent with the product
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and provide documentation support
  • Collaborate with the product team to review and update documentation based on user feedback and product updates
  • Follow established documentation standards and guidelines
  • Manage and maintain a centralized repository of technical documentation
  • Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field

• Proven experience of +3 years as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software industry

• Native Arabic Speaker. with excellent written and verbal English language.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise manner

• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as MS Word, Confluence, and JIRA

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with version control systems and collaboration platforms is a plus

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Markdown is a plus
