About the role

The Software Developer role is required to work on Ikon Science software products to implement new features and maintain existing functionality as directed by the product teams.

Requirement

The Software Developer role will be responsible for ensuring that policies and associated requirements are complied with, within their area of responsibility and operation.
Develop clean, high quality testable code and maintain existing code
Ensure all developed code is thoroughly tested with appropriate unit and automation test coverage.
Work within the agile development life cycle
Efficiently develop and test code in accordance with Ikon Science software standards.

Experience

Experience of commercial software development is advantageous
2+ years of experience using Java.

Qualifications

Computer Science Degree or Numerical Scientific Degree essential

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of Azure, RDBMS and SQL.
Strong object-oriented design and coding skills in appropriate language / framework.
Knowledge of unit testing.
Strong problem solver with a dynamic approach.
Good understanding of agile software development
