We’re looking for an experienced Network Solutions Engineer to support customer deployments and ensure that government and public safety customers are able to use DroneSense products and services within varying network and information security environments. The role involves direct customer interaction and tool development/implementation to evaluate and troubleshoot network connectivity problems. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of network engineering principles with a consultative approach to client needs, helping design, deploy, and optimize deployments. You’ll work closely with clients, our customer facing, and engineering teams to ensure reliable communication systems and a high quality end user experience.

What Would I Be Doing?
  • Engage with customer IT departments in public safety agencies to plan and test trials and deployments to ensure that network and network security problems do not disrupt deployment
  • Troubleshoot connectivity problems stemming from firewalls, network proxies, and last-mile connectivity including RF, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, satellite communication protocols, and GPS/GNSS.
  • Build tooling to help test and diagnose connectivity issues more efficiently
  • Work with internal product, engineering, sales and customer success teams to improve customer experience
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, and client engagements thoroughly for ongoing support and knowledge sharing
  • Stay current with advancements in network technology

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a client facing solutions engineering role
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, QoS) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP, SDN).
  • Experience with drone technology, IoT, or related fields is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A low-ego, team-first mentality.
  • You know when to get your hands dirty and when to lead through influence.
  • Able to execute on objectives with high level direction and minimal supervision.
  • Able to travel up to 50%
