Position Summary

Taxwell is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead email and campaign development for our TaxAct consumer and small business lines. The ideal candidate has a strong background in implementing CRM email strategies, utilizing email marketing best practices, and managing a calendar. They will be responsible for developing impactful email campaigns, optimizing customer lifecycles, and reporting on our performance.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall ideation and creation of email marketing campaigns for both our TaxAct consumer and small business products.
  • Develop email campaigns aligning with strategies and manage the overall intake process.
  • Establish a monthly creative brief and manage a monthly email calendar.
  • Determine the audience strategy for each email campaign and work with the data team to obtain the desired audience.
  • Partner with the creative team for email design including copy, tone, and imagery.
  • Analyze and report on email performance.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders on email marketing campaigns in terms of strategies, priorities, and content.
  • Support and work towards building new lifecycle journeys with the CRM Operations and CRM data team.
  • Partner with CRM Ops team to integrate A/B test and learn campaigns.
  • Seek opportunities to optimize the email marketing campaigns.
  • Stay updated on email best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for aligned campaign objectives.
  • Assist and manage additional email strategy projects as needed.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years in digital marketing focused on email and/or CRM related projects.
  • Experience working with B2C and/or Small Business marketing preferred.
  • Requires experience utilizing data to craft marketing strategies
  • Requires experience with email concept creation
  • Strategic, problem solver, self-motivated manager with acute attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to present and drive actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of data driven marketing
  • Knowledge of best practices with CAN-SPAM as well as customer data and privacy policies
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms is preferred; Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
