Job Description

The Azure Principal Solution Architect at Argano provides technical expertise and strategic guidance for Azure Solutions. This role involves defining and implementing Azure architecture and data architecture best practices and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Their responsibilities include evaluating existing systems and technologies, along with the development of solutions and blueprints to solve business challenges. They play a critical role in guiding our organization through the technological landscape, ensuring that our cloud strategies align with business goals and are implemented efficiently across Argano’s systems, products, and technologies while working closely with business leaders, developers, and IT staff to ensure that the data architecture supports the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Design Azure Solutions: Develop and articulate Azure-based architectural strategies and blueprints that meet current and future business needs.
• Implementation and Migration: Lead the implementation and migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to Azure, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, and IT teams, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of Azure solutions.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all Azure solutions comply with security policies, governance measures, and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Azure advancements and trends, continuously improving and optimizing existing solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure architectures, processes, and procedures.
• Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentorship to team members and other stakeholders on Azure best practices and new technologies.
• Lead the design and development of complex data architectures.
• Oversee the implementation of data governance and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture meets business requirements.
  
  

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field expected.
• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or software engineering preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 10-15 years of extensive experience in Azure data architecture and design.
• Leadership experience in a data architecture role.
• Strong understanding of data governance and quality.
• Proven ability to drive innovation in data management and master data management.
  
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (preferred)
  
  

Skill Requirements

• Azure Services: Extensive knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Compute, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security.
• Scripting and automation: Experience in designing and implementing tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep and ARM templates.
• Data Governance and Quality: Ability to ensure data quality and implement data quality frameworks.
• Data Security: Knowledge of data security best practices and experience implementing data security measures.
• Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or others used for data manipulation and analysis.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Leadership: Ability to provide technical guidance and set architectural standards.
• Strategic Planning: Strategic thinking to align data architecture with business goals and objectives.
• Advanced Data Modeling: Expertise in advanced data modeling techniques and tools.
• Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Master Data Management: Defining for current and future state System of Record including business rules and mastering processes for but not limited to product, party and/or any other domains
