About the role

The Strategic Account Manager plays a critical role in the continued growth of BigHand.

You will build C-Level Relationships with Large Law Firms across the East Coast. You will successfully build an account strategy resulting in year over year sales growth, driving forward BigHand's product portfolio within territory.

What you’ll do
  • Build relationships deep and wide across the legal industry with key personas including the C-suite.
  • Leverage your client relationships to grow existing clients BigHand technology portfolios through up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Learn and understand the value proposition of BigHand software solutions and effectively communicate this understanding to existing and prospective customers.
  • Update client and prospect information in our CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Build profiles of prospective clients using publicly available information.
  • Track, qualify and route leads sent from all sources including but not limited to direct mail campaigns, inbound and outbound calling, marketing, new sales group, special events, trade shows, and company websites.
  • Be curious, and acquire and leverage investigation or probing skills to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Travel for business (approx 25%) for high-level meetings, conferences, and events.
What we’re looking for
  • Must be located in or around New York or New Jersey. 
  • Experience selling into the legal industry within a Large Law environment. 
  • Key relationship builder who thrives on creating a personal brand to drive forward their sales success. This includes in-person client meetings and attending industry events.
  • Experience using a range of tools to build sales pipelines, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other social channels to drive engagement and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM.
  • Strong communication skills with experience selling into key decision makers, including CFO, CEO and other senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and assist others in a team environment, with ability to quarterback deals in a team selling environment.
  • Insatiable curiosity with proven investigation and probing skills to uncover sales opportunities.
