This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms.

 

The role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support the QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met. 

 

Day to day, you’ll support developing of standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices, training, audits and quality improvements, including:

 

  • Documentation reviews
  • Nonconformities
  • Corrective actions
  • Writing quality procedures

 

This role is full time, with a four-day week every other week, and will be based at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. There is however a secondment allowance and accommodation available for anyone based more than two hours from the site.

 

Essential experience of the Quality Assurance Engineer

  • Significant experience in quality roles
  • Major construction project experience
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments e.g. Oil and gas, Nuclear etc.


Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer

  • ONC / HNC / HND in engineering discipline 
  • Membership of Chartered Quality Institute and IRAC auditor training 

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve a minimum of BPSS security clearance for this role.
