POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Segment Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and overall success of our product portfolio within a specific market segment. With a customer-centric approach, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, field marketing, sales, and customer support, to lead the development and execution of product strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of your target segment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Segment Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct thorough Voice-of-the-Customer (VOC) market research and analysis to identify and understand the unmet needs, preferences, and challenges of the target segment. Both from an end-market as well as OEM/Go-To-Market perspective.
- Develop a deep understanding of segment-specific trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
- Define and implement segment-specific product strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Product Roadmap Management:
- Collaborate with product development teams to translate VOC and other segment insights into actionable business cases and product requirements.
- Manage the product roadmap for the segment, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs and market opportunities.
- Define the value-based pricing strategy for the product portfolio, leveraging market benchmarking, willingness-to-pay and competitive differentiation methods
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet segment requirements.
- Go-to-Market Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature enhancements within the segment.
- Define and prioritize target OEM prospects together with sales
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies tailored to the segment's needs.
- Support sales teams with product training, collateral development, and customer engagement activities.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product performance (examples include Net Promoter Score, quality, sales, profitability, market share etc.) within the segment and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular analysis of market trends, regulatory changes, customer feedback, and competitive developments to inform product optimization/life cycle management efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product value proposition and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer support.
- Act as a champion for the segment within the organization, advocating for resources and support to drive segment-specific initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop segment-specific sales strategies and support customer engagement efforts.
- Mentor other team members using strategic marketing expertise.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering or Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- [JS1] [AL2] 10 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related roles within the healthcare industry. Specifically in medical device, biologics or life sciences preferred
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing product portfolios and driving business growth within specific market segments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare market and specific segment dynamics
