Job Summary: Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, and troubleshoots software in Java and J2EE technologies by performing the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs programming and analysis in Java and J2EE technologies, while utilizing IBM tools and products.
- Develops and analyzes software requirements to satisfy product, project, and safety level requirements.
- Analyzes and codes enhancements according to business and technical requirements.
- Develops and discusses technical requirement designs and participates in business requirements review; assists the Business Analysis team with requirements gathering.
- Develops quality solutions to address customer and Focus Technologies needs, according to requirements.
- Conducts and participates in code reviews.
- Performs defect resolution, unit testing, and security and load testing.
- Develops, implements and follows through to the delivery process, technical solutions to business problems
- Assists the QA team with functional and regression testing.
- Evaluates new technologies in the light of emerging trends and technologies.
- Travel Required: Up to 20% depending on location.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have experience with Java, SQL, Restful Web Services, and Agile methodologies.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or software development.
- Must have experience with Restful Web Services, Kanban methodology and Agile methodologies, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
