Product Engineering Manager for Product Development ( Product Development Manager)

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineering Manager who represents Lean-Agile Leadership principles and practices.

This role demands a robust technical background coupled with exceptional leadership skills, with a primary focus on enhancing engineering practices for product development.

Experience level: 15+ Years

Technical Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with full Product Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance

  • Proficiency in application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and experience leading Agile teams

  • Strong knowledge of modern software development practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud technologies

  • (Past) Hands-on experience with one or more programming (e.g .NET, C#, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Database)

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems

  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance processes

  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TFS, ADO)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management

    • Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams.

    • Perform career coaching and personal development for team members

    • Recruit, retain, and develop technical personnel.

    • Set priorities, evaluate performance, and provide guidance.

    • Foster teamwork and act as a role model for company values.

    • Work towards managing and enhancing team productivity.

    • Facilitate technical decisions and architecture design.

    • Implement and optimize development processes.

    • Participate in compensation and promotion decisions.

    • Evaluate performance, including team input; provide guidance and corrective actions

  • Product Lifecycle and Development

    • Manage the product lifecycle from conception to maintenance.

    • Handle product maintenance, client escalations, and urgent fixes.

    • Collaborate with product owners and technical teams.

    • Implement Agile practices and ensure process improvement.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record of delivering quality product releases

  • Effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical

  • Experience in stakeholder management

  • Ability to balance technical leadership with people management responsibilities

  • Strong technical background with (past) hands-on coding experience

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
