Testers typically work in teams, consisting of internal and external team members, and are responsible for specific sections of the application under test. Testers should have good interpersonal and team skills; ability to work collaboratively with others for problem solving and solution development. Testers will also work independently on assignments and must meet deadlines. The work can be repetitive and tedious, but testers must be able to stay motivated and have attention to details. Testers will attend numerous team and\or project meetings and provide input during meetings. E.g., Planning, daily standup, estimation, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Verifying each requirement and each statement within a requirement has test case coverage. Tester will review all requirements, design, test cases and other project artifacts, providing detailed feedback. Designs and develops test along with testing requirements for products, systems, software and/or related technology. Test products, systems and software to identify potential problems and ensure quality.
Developing test cases for iQIES applications which include standalone, client server and web applications. Write test cases with detailed test steps following test case writing expectation, including what use id, what screen, positive and negative testing, regression, 508, etc.
Provide input and\or write QA test plan and\or QA test summary.
Assure quality in the final product before it goes public. Analyze application performance against the requirements and developers design documentation.
Anticipate different methods the application will be utilized by the end user and test accordingly. Attention to detail is important to ensure a quality release.
Automate software testing where testers are responsible for identifying issues and creating defect tickets utilizing a test management tool and following until closure, establishing a test bank to be utilized for future testing for upgrades and\or regression testing.
Multi-task and meet multiple mandatory deadlines.
Analyze data and calculations to confirm data is correct, correctly displayed, stored and\or reported on screen, in reports and other output.
Tester must have strong SQL skills and be able to write queries which will search large databases for data retrieval and data validation. Verify data is stored on the correct data base, in the appropriate fields.
Ability to set for long periods of time, reading documentation (design documents, requirements, data specs, manuals, CMS documentation related to a project, etc.) and working with a PC. May include working more than 40 hrs. per week to meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal skills are necessary in order to write test cases, document findings and communicate with colleagues.
Analyze data specification, verifying each statement(s) and complete test coverage, including required positive and negative test cases.
Analyze user stories \ card to determine testability, clear content and testing approach
System, integration, stress\load, regression, and post implementation testing

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a related discipline, and 8+ years of software testing experience, or specific work experience commensurate with a degree and experience.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools and working in an Agile team environment.
Familiarity/Experience with test management tool such as TestRail.
Experience using database query languages, such as SQL, to assess the state of the data before and after test transactions are performed.
Experience with CMS quality measure calculations and CMS legacy QIES program and associated applications.
Experience in working with web and standalone applications
Experience in personnel resource management.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
Good time-management skills.
Familiarity with PHI and PII data.
Desired Skills:
Experience with or willingness to learn testing automation approaches
Write SQL to conduct data validations, to include joins, calculations, analyzing large data

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
