The Job:

To provide a robust and scalable framework in support of our continued growth strategy, the Stanley Black & Decker Finance organization has launched several global, multi-year programs to evolve our strategic capabilities across all functions.  These programs – involving new ways of working – will drive continued performance excellence and innovation across SBD.  The Change Management team identifies and creates program-related strategic messaging to ensure project objectives and solution functionality are effectively communicated across all stakeholder levels, and that new processes & technologies are adopted and sustained. You’ll get to:

  • Strategic Support: Assist in shaping and embedding comprehensive change management strategies, integrating best practices and ensuring realistic project plans.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with functional leads and project teams to plan and execute change management activities, engaging stakeholders and supporting leaders.
  • Team Support: Support the efforts of Change Partners and Change Management leaders to align with strategic outcomes and results.
  • Communications and Training: Assist in communication efforts and work with training leads to develop and implement learning materials for effective change adoption.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Help define and measure success metrics, monitor progress, and create systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes.
  • Risk Management: Identify gaps and risks, assist in developing mitigation strategies, and support business integration approaches across initiatives.
  • Execution and Support: Execute change-related tasks, translate project requirements into objectives, and support the development of change management plans.
  • Readiness and Impact Assessment: Assist in assessing organizational readiness for change, conduct impact analyses, and develop mitigation plans for potential risks.

You’re a natural doer. An individual who can support getting things done and make things happen. You are nimble, agile and adaptive all with the intent to create structure and drive impactful change. You collaborate and energize those around you to drive to outcomes and create value. You have the skills and desire to get make impacts on people, teams and the organization. You also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, human resources, organizational psychology, project management, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of corporate change, Human Resources, Project Management, or communications experience (or related field)
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills, with ability to synthesize complex project details into strategic, impactful updates
  • Desire to broaden focus outside of traditional communications style and enhance Change Management skillset in a project-based environment
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Effective partnership building, influence and collaboration skills are imperative
  • Articulate and effective interpersonal communication skills with an appreciation for cultural dynamics
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment
