About the role


We are seeking a talented Junior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to our data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering principles and be proficient in Azure data tools and leveraging their .NET development skills. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.

What you’ll do
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into target data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Participate in the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, calculation , testing/reconciliation, storage, and consumption.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance and data quality standards.
  • Help monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our data infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion pipelines.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to understand their data requirements and ensure data quality.
  • Work closely with team members and QA to ensure the integrity, quality and accuracy of data ingestion processes.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with .NET and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Basic understanding of SQL, SQL Server, and database management concepts.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud computing platform.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution to the team.
