Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Global Corporate Infrastructure and as an integral part of Questel’s Global Information Technology department, this role is responsible for designing, building, and supporting DevOps processes and tools for automating the integration and deployment of software applications with a focus on IaC (Infrastructure as Code). In addition will coordinate with other Questel IT resources on a global level for support, maintenance, security, and auditing of existing and new DevOps systems, in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and development of GitlabCI/CD and Azure DevOps pipelines for company applications
- Infrastructure architecture based on containers and Kubernetes
- Management of development, test and production environments
- Software evolution and deployment in conjunction with the Architecture team
- Support for ongoing infrastructure transformation
- Maintenance of internal production services
- Optimizing and securing Questel's online services (ISO270001 context)
- Be on-call for after-hours systems issues to support international offices activities – 24/7 availability
- Occasional travel (possibly global) to other offices/locations may be required
- Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 5+ years professional Information Technology/DevOps or other similar industry experience required
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Containerization and Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu)
- In-depth knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes and Docker Compose
- Solid experience in Linux and virtualized systems administration.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (Gitlab)
- Demonstrated skills in project management, negotiations and problem solving
- Ability to effectively multi-task in stressful situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Complete heavy workload within an established time frame
- High motivation, willingness to take initiative and complete assignments
- Participate in a culture of responsiveness to strengthen relationship and ensure the needs and time of others are met and respected
- Mentoring of junior team members
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including executive level and technical decision-makers
- Fluent in English
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, SLA’s, and concepts around services
- Relevant Industry Certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Citrix)
- Experience with management and maintaining of Azure and/or AWS Cloud Environments
- Experience with SOC2/ISO 27001 auditing, or other standards-based auditing certifications
- Fluency in a second language, other than English, is preferred but not required
