About Staffbase

In a polarized world, we inspire people to achieve great things together. Our mission is to help organizations unlock the power of inspirational communication so they can thrive in the Narrative Age. Our award-winning communications channels - intranet, employee app and email - deliver experiences that drive engagement and inspire hearts and minds.

We’re headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany, with offices in many locations throughout the world, including New York, London, Berlin and Dresden. Our international team counts more than 750 employees from 45+ nationalities and we have a growing base of 2200+ customers that want to transform their employee experience. We are rapidly scaling, post-Series E ($115 million funding), have strong-growing revenue, and our customers love us.

Are you a SaaS sales-focused go-getter looking for your next challenge? Want to join a growing SaaS company? If so, we want you to join Staffbase Australia as a Enterprise Account Executive.

About the role

As a proactive and passionate sales hunter, you’ll be responsible for building and growing your own client portfolio. You’ll engage with business decision-makers at corporate-sized customers (5,001 – 20,000 users), cultivating long-term relationships and helping clients elevate their internal comms strategy. This role focuses on the APAC region, with a primary emphasis on Australia. It’s a hybrid role based in Sydney, requiring two days per week at our Sydney CBD office. Please note, commuting from interstate is not an option.

What you'll be doing
  • Work closely with a collaborative team to grow the APAC region for Staffbase.
  • Become an expert in employee communication and engagement strategies.
  • Drive revenue and consistently exceed quota.
  • Actively seek new opportunities, follow up with clients, and close deals.
  • Be part of the global Staffbase community, working on our newest geography, APAC.
  • Collaborate with global teams across EMEA and NA.
  • Manage complex sales cycles, using all available resources.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Customer Success teams to achieve goals.
  • Bring innovative strategies and ideas that align with our company’s culture and values.
What you'll need to be successful
  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, ideally within web tech, collaboration, or communication.
  • Proven success in hitting and exceeding targets in Australia.
  • Experience working in global companies with offices in Europe and North America.
  • A competitive streak and a relentless drive to succeed.
  • Hybrid work availability – this is not a remote role.
  • Experience in start-up/scale-up environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work with C-level execs, IT, HR, and communications teams.
  • High emotional intelligence, with strong listening and understanding skills.
  • Passion, humor, and an energetic attitude.
  • World-class communication and closing skills.

Please note: this role is open for candidates who currently hold authorisation/right to work for any employer in Australia. We are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

What you'll get
  • Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages including an Employee Stock Option Plan
  • Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of 2400 AUD.
  • Growth Budget - all employees get a yearly budget for external training of 1600 AUD.
  • Wellbeing - in addition to yearly vacation days of 30 days p.a., we’re running a 4-day-work week every year in August with full payment.
  • Support - we’re offering support on private health insurance. Parents can get 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Team Building - Regular team and office events including the yearly Staffbase Camp
  • Volunteers Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project. We will donate a small amount for that project in addition.
