Job description

This is a remote position.


Scope:

  • 20 hours per week; flexible hours during the client's business hours, Michigan Time

  • Remote work with a focus on maintaining a distraction-free environment

  • Flexible scheduling within the client’s preferred hours

  • Ongoing communication and collaboration with the actuary

  • Potential for handling multiple invoices and projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe dictated content for legal invoices with high accuracy

  • Format and structure documents using Microsoft Word

  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors

  • Collaborate with the actuary to refine and finalize invoice content

  • Prepare final invoices for client submission

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and legal information

Requirements:

  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy

  • Strong command of English grammar and punctuation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to spot errors

  • Good listening skills and ability to understand dictated content

  • Familiarity with legal or financial terminology (preferred)

  • Knowledge of “Elements of Style” by Strunk and White (advantageous)
