About The Team

The Mobile Center of Excellence Application Testing and Distribution team is engaged by multiple application delivery teams to ensure the successful certification and distribution of mobile applications.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.

  • Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.

  • In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Supports the software deployment process.

Experience:

  • Requires 2+ years of technology experience with minimum 1 year of Java and Python experience working on an ecommerce platform)

  • The ideal candidate would be a mobile application developer with 2-3 years of development experience.   

  • Familiarity with Build Automation technologies such as Jenkins or Azure Pipelines to support CI/CD DevOps delivery pattern.  

  • 1-2 years of experience with testing of mobile applications with a focus on automation.  

  • Experience with public cloud providers including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.

Education:

  • Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in office presence. This position is only available at the posted location. Full remote work is not available.

Our Sr Specialist Software Engineering earns between $94,300 - $158,400 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
