Summary of Job Duties:
Program Administration provides administrative leadership and management of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) initiative. Working closely with the Cancer Institute Associate Director of COE, position serves as the administrative lead for this effort and oversees the schedule, activities, and projects. Position is responsible for creating promotional and educational materials for outreach efforts and implementing new activities. Position provides direct assistance to the Associate Director of COE and serves as administrator for COE initiatives. Position serves as liaison with partnering external stakeholders and is responsible for internal and external COE communications.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business or Health Science or a related field

  •  4 years’ experience or combination in the areas of health or science education, administrative, office management, or project management experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent organizational skills with history of managing tasks across numerous projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree Plus One (1) year experience in higher education and research administration experience.

  • SAP Travel and Procurement experience


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as lead administration figure for COE.

  • Working closely under the direction of the WPRCI Associate Director of COE, position is responsible for COE program management and day to day operations of the COE core.

  • Specific duties include planning, implementation and evaluation, development of evaluation tools, capture of external metrics needed by COE as well as COE performance metrics.

  • Serves as administrator for all COE initiatives.

  • Works closely with the Associate Director of COE to build and maintain relationships with external partners and advisory boards.

  • Works closely with the Associate Director of COE to execute and implement the COE strategic plan.

  • Composes and distributes COE information and updates and is responsible for informing Cancer Institute members of COE related opportunities.

  • Works with the Associate Director of Administration to ensure appropriate internal and external promotion of COE activities and accomplishments. 

  • Creates and updates educational materials for cancer researchers.

  • Position may also present this content in meetings, workshops, training modules, etc.

  • Responsible for documenting educational materials and their utilization and generating appropriate SOPs regarding COE activities and initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.
