CAT Labs' flagship software tool Recovery CAT automates and scales the process of discovery and recovery of digital assets from digital data collected in the context of criminal investigations, intelligence collection, and civil case litigation where asset recovery is at stake, such as bankruptcy, restructuring, estate disputes, and divorce law.
We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. This individual will develop new features, test, and maintain code across our mission-critical products. This position reports to the Head of Engineering.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and implementation of our digital asset recovery platform by writing high-performance software to scan large volumes of data for cryptographic content. Code must run in the cloud and desktop computers and be both scalable and packageable.Required Qualifications: 5-7 years software development experience with at least 5 years of back-end development expertise in Rust/C/C++/Go/Python. Expertise developing high-performance, I/O bound software in Linux environments.Experience with good software development practices (well-tested, robust, maintainable code, CI/CD pipelines, containerization).Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. Experience working at early-stage startups where speed is of the essencePreferred Qualifications: Experience with message queues, databases, file I/O.Strong OS fundamentals.Prior experience in GovTech or highly-regulated environments.
