Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, from 8:30a to 5:30p with an hour unpaid lunch
  • 40 hour per week
  • Vernon, CA timezone

Key Responsibilities:
  • Takedown Management:

    • Identify, prepare, and submit DMCA takedown requests to infringing websites, platforms, and marketplaces.
    • Track and follow up on submitted requests to ensure timely removal of infringing content.
    • Maintain detailed records of all DMCA actions, including status updates and outcomes.
  • Monitoring and Detection:

    • Regularly monitor online platforms, social media, and websites for potential copyright or trademark infringements.
    • Utilize tools and technology to automate content monitoring where applicable.
    • Investigate and assess unauthorized use of content to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Compliance and Documentation:

    • Ensure compliance with DMCA policies and copyright regulations.
    • Manage correspondence with external platforms, including responding to counter-notifications when necessary.
    • Collaborate with the legal team to escalate complex cases of infringement or disputes.
  • Internal Collaboration:

    • Partner with the marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure proper copyright usage internally.
    • Educate staff on copyright policies and help develop strategies to prevent unauthorized use of intellectual property.


Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in copyright enforcement, DMCA processes, or intellectual property management.
  • Strong knowledge of DMCA regulations, copyright law, and online infringement issues.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with tracking tools, content monitoring software, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically and professionally.
