Job Description:

We seek a detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local registrations, as well as assisting in the reconciliation of sales & use tax returns and other compliance-related documentation. The Analyst will also support audits, maintain records, and coordinate with regional auditors.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate with local audit teams to complete, review, and submit tax filings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax compliance.
  • Support external audits by providing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain detailed records of tax-related transactions and compliance activities.
  • Assist in the review and improvement of tax compliance processes and systems.
  • Monitor and analyze sales tax & VAT returns, identifying trends, root causes of variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate tax compliance across systems, including Avalara and NetSuite.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including monthly reconciliations.
  • Support Accounts Receivable in complying with customer setup requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the department/company.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in tax compliance or a related area.
  • Knowledge of US sales tax and international VAT tax.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or Avalara.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
