Position Overview:
  • As a member of the Crisis Management Team, the Crisis Management consultant collaborates with business partners to identify critical business functions necessary to support their needs.
  • Possess the necessary skills to develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Management, and Physical Security. This would apply to both on premises as well as cloud services such as Azure.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Leads in coordinating the diverse corporate resources to insure employee safety and security, and business process viability during business interruption situations.
  • Has good experience and knows how to evaluate the technical infrastructure, facilities, critical business functions, telecommunication requirements, and emergency management protocol to ensure the continued operation of the business in event of disaster or disruption.
  • Can lead the facilitation of BCP / DR and IR management activities for a wide variety of physical, operational, technology, and cybersecurity incidents as needed.
  • Provide effective second line challenge and oversight of any BCP, DR and IR plans.
  • With minimal direction handles facilitation and maintenance of analyses, documentation, planning, and exercise of contingency plans for all essential business operations of the company.
  • Performs a gap analysis between recoverable capability on all technology platforms and business needs.
  • Communicate with the most senior level executives to ensure the Crisis Management program requirements are complete and realistic.
  • Provide functional expertise on continuity planning and disaster recovery on an enterprise-wide basis through the development, maintenance and implementation of business impact analysis, recovery strategies and risk management.
  • Brings up to date of industry best practices, trends, and solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years or more prior experience in Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery / incident response preferably in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud services and how they relate to BCP and IR processes.
  • Demonstrative strong communication (written and oral) and customer relations skills.
  • Advanced Knowledge with NIST, DRII or BCM standards a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Equally able to work as a team with remote and offshore team members.
  • Requires flexibility, ability to prioritize work, manage multiple demands and tight deadlines, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Basic understanding of server, workstation, network, database, and web technologies.
  • Good to have certifications such as, Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP), Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), or Professional Continuity Practitioner (PCP)
  • Very good proficiency with MS Office suite with concentration in Outlook, Word, and Excel. PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project a plus.
