How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The selection is aimed at identifying a person capable of covering the function of CO2 Technology Expert to be included within the Asset Management Team of Air Liquide Group, in the Milano, Bagneux (Paris), Madrid offices.
The position reports to the HyCO Asset Manager and requires proven knowledge of the process for industrial cryogenic and non-cryogenic applications related to CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction and handling, and related international standards.
As part of the South West Europe Industrial Direction, the Capital Projects Team is in charge of the proposal and execution phases of major investments aiming to extend, enhance, renovate the industrial facilities owned and operated by the Air Liquide Group in the South West Europe (SWE) cluster countries.
Depending on the size and complexity of the projects, the CO2 Technology Expert will be assigned to one or more jobs for which she/he will have to carry out the following main tasks:
responsible for the developing solutions within CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction and handling as a technical authority,
support Owner’s business and projects teams in developing and executing projects within CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction and handling, from proposal phase until plant’s start-up,
ensure that technical specifications and procedures associated with CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction and handling have the necessary quality and completeness,
interact with customers as part of business development and project execution,
acquire project and contractual contents related to process aspects, and the applicable technical attachments, highlighting any inconsistencies where present,
determine the best technology to meet the project requirements in compliance with technical, contractual, economic requirements and company standards,
participate to cost budget estimation, development of request for quotation, check technical offer and lead technical discussions with technology providers,
support risk assessment, clarify scope and provide technical input to ensure a safe and reliable solution,
provide support for or review the basic design and detailed design compliance with company rules and project specifications,
support the procurement by identifying, pre-selecting and qualifying the suppliers of particular equipment and packages,
support the development of project schedules and manpower requirements,
support operating teams,
perform Design Validations,
attend the start-up (presence in field required) and guarantee test-run of the unit.

Profile
minimum 5 years of successful experience in oil & gas industry, OEMs, industrial gasses companies or Engineering companies
bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
specific knowledge of cryogenic and non-cryogenic applications related to CO2 capture, transportation, liquefaction and handling, and related international standards
knowledge of process design methods and tools, familiar with process simulators softwares (ASPEN, Hysys, PROII, others).
familiar with managing all aspects of process engineering design
fluency in English spoken and written
