Product Owner

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our Platform Engineering team, focusing on delivering advanced AI/Client solutions and data platforms for the organization. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of data infrastructure products, leveraging Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics. You will work closely with engineering, data science, and business teams to ensure that our platforms meet evolving business needs and support AI/Client-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Vision & Roadmap:

   • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for data engineering and AI/Client platform solutions, in alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
   • Prioritize features and enhancements for platforms, such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver value.

2. Stakeholder Management:

   • Act as the liaison between business stakeholders (finance, risk, compliance, etc.) and the engineering teams, translating business needs into technical specifications.
   • Ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the product development lifecycle, managing expectations and gathering feedback.

3. Platform Development:

   • Work closely with platform engineers and data scientists to build scalable AI/Client pipelines, data lakes, and data integration frameworks using Azure tools (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse).
   • Oversee the implementation of advanced machine learning models and ensure the infrastructure supports real-time analytics and AI-driven insights.

4. Backlog & Sprint Management:

   • Own the product backlog and prioritize tasks based on business value, risk, and resource availability.
   • Collaborate with the engineering team in sprint planning, ensuring clear requirements and deliverables for each iteration.

5. AI/Client Integration:

   • Ensure AI/Client models are seamlessly integrated into the bank's platform, optimizing model deployment and lifecycle management in Azure Databricks.
   • Collaborate with data scientists to ensure proper data pipeline structures that support model training, testing, and deployment.

6. Data Governance & Security:

   • Work with IT security and governance teams to ensure that all data platforms comply with regulatory requirements and best practices for data privacy and security.
   • Ensure adherence to data governance standards within Azure Data Lake and other cloud-based environments.

7. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

   • Establish key performance metrics for platform products and regularly review platform performance.
   • Proactively identify areas for improvement in terms of scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency within the Azure ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Solid experience with Azure cloud services (Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics).
• Strong understanding of AI/Client concepts and how they integrate with data platforms to drive business insights.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience managing product development cycles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
• Experience with data governance, security practices, and regulatory requirements in the banking sector.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with AI/Client tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with other cloud environments like AWS or GCP is a plus.
