About the Role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a pivotal role in Second Nature’s growth by identifying and qualifying potential Property Manager clients. The SDR uses various methods (outbound cold calls, cold and warm emails, LI Navigator, etc.) to generate and qualify leads and effectively communicates the value proposition of Second Nature’s Resident Benefits Package (RBP) while also conducting discovery to gather client intel. The SDR will also work closely with the marketing team to participate in multifaceted outreach campaigns.
This role serves as a crucial stepping stone to the Account Executive team. Successful SDRs will have the opportunity for career advancement with a clear path to transition into an Account Executive role.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social networking to generate leads and initiate conversations with potential customers.
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs, pain points, and buying intentions through effective questioning and active listening.
- Complete approximately 75-100 calls/day.
- Schedule approximately 18-20 demos/month.
- Work closely with Account Executives to ensure alignment on ideal prospects.
- Use LinkedIn, Google, and other platforms to research and find prospective SFR (Single Family Residential) Property Managers to contact.
- Schedule and confirm demo times with prospects.
- Become proficient in Salesforce and Salesloft.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities to meet and exceed quarterly sales goals.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies and campaigns to drive engagement and conversions.
- Utilize Salesforce & sales automation tools to track and manage lead interactions, update prospect information, and report on pipeline activity.
- Stay informed about industry trends & market developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the game.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional growth through ongoing training, skill development, and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience of a proven track record of high achievement in a sales or business development role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with prospects.
- Tenacity, resilience, and a results-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Exhibit a self-motivated, coachable attitude & growth mindset with a willingness to adapt and evolve in a rapidly changing startup environment.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce & Salesloft.
