Job Responsibilities
- Achieves or exceeds assigned sales objectives, including outreach activities, capabilities presentations and RFP (request for proposal) generation.
- Analyzes account and industry activity with the assistance of management, Business Intelligence (BI) and marketing, to develop plans to drive prospect engagement.
- Initiates and manages effective relationships with prospective clients in order to determine near and future clinical development needs
- Delivers the Company’s messaging on differentiators, effectively communicating this to clients; advances discussions with a thorough understanding of the client’s challenges in business needs, and alignment to Company strengths.
- Documents and monitors all outreach activity and progress in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, including lead generation details, tracking contacts, and pertinent follow-up information.
- Initiates and prioritizes use of internal and external data and technology to conduct research and monitors factors within accounts to assess a strategy for engagement to capitalize on opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains an appropriate internal network for business needs, including but not limited to, Business Development and Business Units.
- Participates in Business Development meetings and utilizes processes to ensure consistency and alignment to Business Development activity.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from
$67,700 to $93,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Qualifications - External
What we’re looking for:
- BA/BS degree in a biological science, related field, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years CRO prospecting experience
- Experience in Business Development, Lead Generation, Customer Relationship development and management, predominantly via email and phone. Working knowledge of clinical development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
- CRM skills in managing a customer relationship database, Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Ability to use various technology tools and resources as required.
- Effective communication skills including, written, interpersonal, presentation and selling skills.
- Advanced problem-solving skills relating to diligently qualifying and researching prospective clients.
- Above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines preferred.
- A sales disposition to demonstrate persistence and achievement in hitting all goals and targets.
