ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Business Analyst. This position will require a federal background investigation. This role is 100% Remote.

Key responsibilities include gathering and translating business needs into user stories, maintaining technical documentation, and modeling processes and requirements for both legacy and modernization projects. The role involves defining acceptance criteria, assisting with testing, and ensuring readiness for sprints. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this mission-critical environment, as is the ability to lead, adapt, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and assemble requirements, including consulting with product owners, customers, key stakeholders, and end users.
- Develop requirements into user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Assist the Product Owner or Team Lead in outlining product scope, vision, and roadmap.
- Provide system analysis and subject matter expertise on issues and bug resolution.
- Conduct business process analysis, workflow analysis, and business process re-engineering.
- Design IT solutions to integrate with and deploy active legacy applications.
- Create IT solutions for modernization initiatives and new development projects.
- Offer technical assistance and guidance by performing gap analyses, workflow analysis, Analysis of Alternative (AoA) studies, business process modeling, wireframes, and storyboards.
- Lead business process re-engineering efforts.
- Deliver technical briefings and host meetings tailored for diverse audiences.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 to 7+ years’ experience in supporting the product owner and agile team, eliciting business needs, maintaining user stories in the backlog, writing and maintaining technical documentation, modeling business processes and system requirements, architecture and dat
- Experience assisting with testing, by writing acceptance criteria and confirming test cases result
- Experience with producing relevant and current requirements, sizing user stories correctly, and removing roadblocks prior to sprints starts
- BS/BA Degree or MA/MS Degree with 4+ years of experience

- Strong articulation, listening, and communication skills required for interaction with diverse audiences and self-forming teams
