Job description

We are looking for a skilled and creative Instructional Designer/Developer to join our Client's team. You'll be working to enhance content flow and interactivities using Articulate Storyline. The successful candidate will collaborate on producing engaging e-learning material, using client-provided designs.

Role Overview
  • Location: Remote, USA based (only), willing to work to West Coast timezone
  • Commitment: Freelance Contract estimating approximately 30 hours per week. (not guaranteed)
  • Compensation: Hourly 1099 of up to $60 USD
  • Start Date: Immediate start preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Content Collaboration: Partner with the Client to refine the content structure, ensuring clarity and cohesion throughout the learning material.
  • Interactivity Integration: Design engaging interactivities using Storyline to enhance learner engagement and understanding.
  • Development and Implementation: Develop seamless e-learning modules, adhering to client specifications and design guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of developed content to ensure functionality and quality across different platforms and devices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Act on feedback to improve course materials, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and development, with proficiency in using Articulate Storyline.
  • Strong understanding of e-learning development processes and adaptability to client-focused design specifications.
  • Proficient in collaborating within cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent analytical skills to resolve content flow and functionality challenges effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related fields.
  • Experience with SCORM and other e-learning standards.
  • Familiarity with graphic design basics to facilitate a smooth handover from design to development.
