Job Overview

As the Project Lead within the Office of the Executive Director, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing a variety of projects that are critical to our organization. This role requires adept coordination and planning, with a focus on ensuring initiatives align with our overarching mission. You will engage with diverse stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, the Board of Governors, and external partners to achieve successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of assigned projects, acting as the primary contact for organization-wide initiatives.
  • Develop initial project documentation and secure consensus on project briefs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure project success.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, including senior management and team members.
  • Track key metrics throughout the project lifecycle and implement evaluation procedures post-completion.
  • Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects remain on schedule.
  • Provide ongoing project updates and guide team members towards achieving project goals.
  • Serve as a consultant for project processes, offering guidance, resources, and tools to other teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project management resources and training materials to promote effective practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications and software.
  • Capability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Sound judgment and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a project management role, with at least 2 years of experience in team management and coordination.
  • Proven ability to lead projects without positional authority.
  • Experience in non-profit or government project management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with budget management and expense tracking is an advantage.
