Job Overview

Our mission is to simplify the intricacies of automotive retail, enhancing profitability and enjoyment for all stakeholders. As we embark on a groundbreaking initiative to completely redefine the customer journey, we are constructing an omni-channel digital platform that facilitates seamless transactions, whether online or in-store, in collaboration with a prominent online retail partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion a compelling multi-year product vision and strategy for your product portfolio.
  • Deeply understand customer needs and challenges throughout the auto buying journey, translating insights into innovative product solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, design, sales, support, partners, vendors, and marketing, to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Create and manage a prioritized product roadmap that balances immediate deliverables with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Drive the execution of the product roadmap, working closely with architects, engineers, designers, and QA to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Regularly monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze product performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies within automotive retail.
  • Oversee the execution of the product launch plan, coordinating with various teams to ensure a seamless and successful market release.
  • Engage with customers and partners through travel, attending industry events, conducting market research, and collaborating with distributed teams (20-40% travel).

Required Skills

  • Over 10 years of product management experience in the automotive industry, with a comprehensive understanding of the auto buying process, including inventory management, digital retail, in-store processes, financing, and contracting.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering consensus and driving results.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and planning skills, with a successful track record of defining and delivering effective product strategies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of technology and software development methodologies, facilitating effective collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, embracing iterative development and continuous delivery.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings, displaying a bias for action and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on execution and measurable outcomes.
