Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization as a Systems Analyst (Technical) and leverage your analytical expertise in a remote work environment. In this pivotal role, you will partner with both development and operations teams to assess our existing system architecture, investigate cutting-edge technologies, and create comprehensive specifications. Your technical acumen will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and delivery of robust system and software architecture solutions, ensuring excellence and impactful results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and improve current systems while exploring innovative technologies to advance our objectives.
  • Spearhead the design and development of forward-thinking systems that enhance business performance.
  • Generate high-quality technical documentation, including specifications, grounded in object-oriented, service-oriented, and n-tier architecture principles.
  • Maintain and document industry standards and best practices for software engineering excellence.
  • Engage proactively in project teams, aligning technical specifications with business requirements while conducting analysis, design, development, integration, and support of our technical infrastructure.
  • Provide support for critical applications, including the ORS Clarety application, Employer Self Service (ESS) application, State Account applications, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.

Required Skills

  • Substantial experience in Java development, with proficiency in reading and writing code.
  • Adept in crafting high-quality technical specifications, with a working knowledge of Swagger.
  • Strong familiarity with Java, J2EE, and WebSphere development technologies; experience in ASP.Net and .Net 6.0 is desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design patterns and algorithms.
  • Proven experience with Java MVC frameworks (Struts MVC), ORM tools (Hibernate), JavaScript, Web Services, and EJB.
  • Proficient in developing systems with Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or higher) and skilled in SQL and stored procedures.
  • Background in requirements gathering and analysis, emphasizing a client-focused approach.
  • Knowledgeable in both web-based and client-server systems architecture.
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Analysis, design, and programming.
  • Familiarity with systems development methodologies, especially Agile.
  • Experience with technologies such as Corticon Rules Engine, WebSphere Liberty, Git, microservices, and cloud-based deployment.
  • Competent in utilizing tools like Junit, Selenium, Docker, and Azure DevOps.
  • Skilled in developing business process models through established process modeling methodologies, using tools such as Visio, Rational Rose, or UML Diagrams.
  • Understanding of Web Services, process automation, batch operations, APIs, and Cloud/Gov Cloud.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical documentation following industry standards; awareness of documentation protocols is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with IT project stakeholders across varying levels.
  • Proficient in thriving under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and resolving complex challenges efficiently.
