Job Overview

Join our esteemed organization as a Full Stack Engineering Manager, fully remote, where you will have the unique opportunity to lead our Web and Customer Applications team. As a vital player in our mission to facilitate innovative and compliant data solutions, you will oversee a team of talented Front-End and Full Stack software engineers. Your role will be crucial in enhancing our customer engagement through our website and applications, ensuring a seamless purchasing and account management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 4-8 Front-End and Full Stack software engineers, directing projects and key initiatives.
  • Mentor and cultivate team members, promoting their professional development.
  • Uphold and advocate for high standards of code quality and development practices within the team.
  • Define product quality standards and refine release processes.
  • Engage in hands-on coding as necessary, providing valuable technical feedback during code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers and product managers to align strategies, allocate resources, and drive project execution and delivery.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to enhance our website, attracting new and prospective customers while allowing for agile updates to optimize engagement and conversion.
  • Work alongside the customer success team to provide existing customers with effective tools for account management and insights into revenue and engagement.
  • Coordinate with core product and engineering teams on go-to-market strategies for launching new products and services.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding priorities, deliveries, and improvements.
  • Contribute to engineering initiatives and cultural development as part of the engineering leadership team.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a team of three or more software engineers.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Proficiency in React.js and Python REST API backends (Django, FastAPI, Django Rest Framework, Flask, etc.).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks (e.g., LaunchDarkly).
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing engineers, as well as hiring and recruiting talent.
  • Strong ability to manage both individual and team performances effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with product partners to develop roadmaps and drive execution.
  • Experience in translating product requirements into technical design documents and projects.
  • Knowledge of running agile sprints, Kanban, and backlog grooming.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software development with a focus on team management and mentoring.
